My first experience of a poker cruise, was with ‘Poker Escapes’ on a South Pacific Poker Cruise in March 2025. Liz and her team were very professional, flexible and interested in a variety of poker players individual needs. The ‘sea days’ on cruises are pretty boring for many, but with a full day of poker each sea day, it became a fun cruise. The structures were excellent, with big start stacks combined with slow blind levels, to give cruisers a longer playing time. There was also a mixture of freeze out, rebuy and teams events, plus timed tourneys and cash games. For non-playing partners, the cruise offered entertainment, interesting ports of call and many on board activities. The poker players also socialised on day trips ashore, evening meals and around the ship. This was my 17th cruise, first with poker and it was a fun 11 days.
Thanks Poker Escapes!
